Hello list,
recently, we got the question if we use direct IO in our Scale cluster,
but we are not sure if we do or not.
We have a three node cluster with shared storage available to all three
nodes and running CES on all the nodes with SMB/NFS/S3 exports and no
GPFS nodes attached. So the filesystem is only accessed via CES. The
cluster has a AFM-DR connection to a secondary GPFS cluster on another
site.
I would assume from this setup that we don't use direct IO. The nodes
are connected via Ethernet to the campus network and via Infiniband
between the three nodes.
How can we check, if we use direct IO?
Regards
Christoph
