I care not about the GUI role, only the RestAPI support.

I am old school and take the view that if you need a GUI to manage your 
storage then step away from the keyboard :-)

Here is a question can you replace the GUI/RestAPI servers live without 
service interruption? Say just spin up a couple more and then retire the 
old ones. Or replace them one at a time?

As it stands the machines are pretty old anyway and are spare because 
firstly the CPU is not supported in ESXi 7+, and then SAS adaptor is not 
supported in RHEL8+. Hence they are spare.

However they work just fine under Ubuntu LTS 22.04 and we are likely to 
move away from RHEL after RedHat's stunt last year. However I would want 
to be able to replace them without downtime if required and as funds allow.
