Yeah. Try first changing the configuration so it does not depend on
onegig. Then secondly you may want to delete the nodeclass.

Any ideas on how to get out of this?

[root at gpfs01 ~]# mmlsnodeclass onegig
Node Class Name Members
---------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
one gig

[root at gpfs01 ~]# mmchconfig maxMBpS=DEFAULT -N onegig
mmchconfig: No nodes were found that matched the input specification.
mmchconfig: Command failed. Examine previous error messages to determine
cause.

[root at gpfs01 ~]# mmdelnodeclass onegig
mmdelnodeclass: Node class "onegig" still appears in GPFS configuration
node override section
  maxMBpS 120 [onegig]
mmdelnodeclass: Command failed. Examine previous error messages to
determine cause.
