Abstract: This presentation gives a short overview about the IBM Spectrum
Family and briefly introduces IBM Spectrum Protect™ (Tivoli Storage
Manager, TSM) and IBM Spectrum Scale™ (General Parallel File System, GPFS)
in more detail. Subsequently it presents a solution integrating these two
components and outlines its advantages. It further discusses use cases and
deployment options. Last but not least this presentation elaborates on the
client values running multiple Spectrum Protect instance in a Spectrum
Scale cluster and presents performance test results highlighting that this
solution scales with the growing data protection demands.
