where the single writyer assumes that he is the only one writing and never
checks a file on open, for example./

I see there is a new afm mode in 3.5.0-3 called 'independent-writer' -
anyone know what this does? I see that there is a changed error 6027-2181
which references it but not much info beyond that doc wise
