Multipart uploads are not supported with Unified File and Object for the reason you mentioned, as the separate parts of the object are written as separate files. And because the S3 and Swift authentication is handled differently, the user is not passed through in the S3 path. Without the user information, the Unified File and Object layer is not able to set the file ownership to the external authentication user.
